Executive Director’s Letter

The Entertainment Capital of the World is no stranger to luxury brands and the luxury lifestyle and 2009 marked the launch of the Las Vegas Chapter of The Luxury Marketing Council Worldwide.

The core of every successful business is its relationships with people; both inside and outside the company.  Our goal in Las Vegas is to build our brand, educate our members on what other cutting edge professionals are thinking and provide partner opportunities with like minded companies in the luxury space.  While meetings and events are the glue that holds the membership of the Council together, partnerships and collaborations are the fuel that drives member business.

We welcomed 18 corporate founding members representing 50 individual members to the Las Vegas Council.  Our members are diverse and cover a wide scope of the luxury market.

The Las Vegas chapter conducted 7 meetings and events in 2009 attended by over 350 members and guests.  As the 2010 event calendar shows, a list of 20 meetings and events are scheduled for this year.  The calendar is a combination of social, charity events and meetings; brown bag lunches and salon events have been added where members can share information in an intimate and informal setting.

2009 shaped up to be the most challenging year in more than a generation for luxury items; not a time to panic, but, but an opportunity to define and redefine your brand.  We see 2010 as a year of stabilization and opportunity to fine tune strategy and return to the basics that drive success in good times and bad.

At the top of that list is cultivating and securing relationships with our best clients and customers and creating innovative collaborations with like minded partners.  Helping you build those relationships and facilitating those collaborations is what The Luxury Marketing Council does best.

Thank you to our founding members for your support and friendship.  You have been instrumental in our success in the Las Vegas market.

In spite of the difficult times, we’re quietly optimistic about the future and excited at the prospect of developing our relationship with you, our current and future members.
