Celebrity Product Placement and Red Carpet Marketing…You Can Do It Too!

The Luxury Marketing Council of Las Vegas is proud to present Susan Ashbrook, author and marketing expert in the “rough and tumble” world of celebrity endorsements. Through a combination of star-studded stories and practical tips, she explains and demonstrates how placing product with celebrities—on the red carpet, on screens, or on the web—is a glamorous fast-track to brand recognition and sales.
In discussing her new book, Will Work for Shoes, Ashbrook offers a wealth of helpful strategies that companies can use to capitalize on the immense influence that celebrities have on consumer buying behavior. Though focused on fashion, her advice is applicable to almost any type of product. And she makes a strong case for why placing product with celebrities can increase sales more successfully and economically than traditional advertising.
Through her own experiences and information gleaned from interviews with the top names in celebrity marketing, Ashbrook explains the how-to process of building key relationships, getting product to stars and stylists, and—importantly—preparing for the inevitable publicity they generate. A-list celebrities, designers, and stylists (from Angelina Jolie to Kenneth Cole to Phillip Bloch) are discussed in the presentation.
About Susan Ashbrook:
Susan J. Ashbrook has blazed a trail for celebrity product placement and has created countless connections in the fashion world during her twenty years in the business.
Following her position as the Director of Public Relations for fashion designer Richard Tyler, Susan founded and developed her own company—Film Fashion, a groundbreaking agency that paired top celebrities with designers and fashion brands to gain international media coverage. The company landed Ralph Lauren as its first client and Susan has since worked with such A-listers as Angelina Jolie, Halle Berry and Jennifer Lopez and such clients as Lanvin, Kenneth Cole, Swarovski, Herve Leger and Harry Winston.
In 2008 Susan sold Film Fashion to the public relations powerhouse Rogers & Cowan.
